"Economic Development
Can Be
Fueled by Tourism and The Tourist Industry is vital to the Growth and Survival of Fresno County. The Fresno County Fruit Trail is an example of people working together and making things work!" Bob Waterston Join the Celebration!

In
the photo below Supervisor Waterston looks over the site on which the
Central Sierra Historical Society is planning to build a museum at Shaver
Lake. The museum will detail the rich history of the Sierra Nevada with major exhibits featuring Indian culture, early settlers, livestock grazing, the logging industry, recreation development and hydroelectric power production. "This will be a wonderful educational resource for our children," Waterston said. |
||
"The
museum will be here in the Shaver Basin, between Yosemite National Park
to the north and Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks to the south.
This will help open this Fresno County vacation treasure to visitors
from around the world." |
